I'm heading on a trip down south to attend a wedding and see family, but I'm extending my stay a bit and would love to hit up some nurseries while I'm there. Anybody have any recommendations?
Would happily see other houseplant nurseries, too!
My heirloom-type Hoya carnosa opened its first buds of the year :)
First time flowering this one. Smells kind of like cheap candy. Very nectar-drippy at night (see last photo). It has another round of buds ready to deploy on the heels of these blooms.
...so that means the leaves are doing a different sort of emerging: emerging from the house and office to spend the summer outside!
I just rigged up some sprinklers to auto water everything, and this was the test run. Everything will look even more lush in a few weeks once I've had time to organize things. I'm still bringing carfuls of plants home from the office.
Sorry for the terrible video quality 😅 but I think this summer is going to have a lot of new leaves to look at!
