TIA for any advice recommendations!! Long story short, my parents gave us a heat pump as they recently received a grant for an upgrade. Its a 13 year old unit, still worked great for my parents. Problem is, we are having trouble getting someone to come install it for us, without recommending a new unit, which we really are not in a financial position to purchase right now.

Essentially, what we would need done is for a technician to install the coil on top of the furnace and hook up the lines and vacuum them out, and start the unit and test it.

Question being, would it be worth it to install this unit? We aren't looking for anything fancy, even if we get five or so years out of it until we can invest in a new one.

Not concerned about heating, we would be using it more for the AC.
