I’ve been on the Aldi subreddit for some time and I’ve noticed there’s a lot of Aldi staff from USA and Australia, I’m curious as to what each of the roles are in the stores in different countries as in the UK it seems very different. If anyone could post all the store roles and what there responsibilities are and stuff it would be really useful to know especially when reading others posts.

Here were have

AM-Area Manager-Responsible for 5 stores in a specific region.

SM-Store Manager- salaried, sorts out rotas, holidays, most of the admin stuff.

ASM- Assistant Store Manger- 2 per store, both salaried, responsible for KPIs and will step up when the SM is on holiday or off.

DSM-Deputy Store Manager- 4/5 pr store, on £1.25 more than a SA plus an extra £4 an hour when there are no salaried in there store. They run the shift, do the cash handling and lock up the store at the end of the night.

SA-Store Assistant- usually 15-25 per store, hourly wage, will work stock, run scos and sit at tills.

I hope that is insightful into what it’s like in the UK. Also happy to answer any questions if you want to know anything else.
