Would love to get some help with this. I did a water wash per spiritiveggie's instructions (they were on his now removed website so I'll give the bullet points of the steps below). I went in with 1.5g and ended up with 0.8 g so hoping to find where the loss is coming from. I have one suspicion of a step I got wrong (marked below in italics) but not totally sure.

Here are the steps I followed:

1. Measure 100ml heptane per gram of DMT. Place heptane in beaker, place beaker in hot water bath for 5 minutes. Use magnetic stirrer to circulate and warm solvent.
2. Place an equivalent volume of hot distilled water to volume of heptane into a mason jar. Add 10g pickling salt per 100ml of water 1/2 tsp sodium carbonate and and mix until dissolved. **This is where I may have messed up, for each salt step I accidentally added 1/2 of what was recommended**
3. Add DMT to the warm solvent allow it to dissolve. Pour DMT solvent solution into first water jar, use magnetic stirrer to thoroughly mix for 30 seconds. Allow 5 to 10 minutes for separation.
4. Prep second washing jar, same as above but with no carbonate for the remaining 2 washes.
5. Siphon first pull into second washing jar. Repeat for 3rd wash.
6. Take remaining un-pulled solvent, combine into a beaker and do a final pull.
7. Freeze precipitate.

I've only seen a couple posts on NN-DMT nasal sprays on the sub. A few questions:

• Curious if anyone actually has any experience using them and how the effect compares to vaping, both from a safety perspective and a quality of high perspective. I like the practicality of a nasal spray but not sure how well it actually works.
• Is there any preference between making DMT fumerate vs DMT benzoate salt for use in a nasal spray? I have a tek for the fumerate, wondering if the quanties/method is the same for benzoate if in fact benzoate has any advantages.
