[Sun Care] Tatcha The Silk Sunscreen Similar Products

Hi! I am super picky about sunscreens, but I finally found one that genuinely might be one of my favorite skincare products ever: Tatcha’s The Silk sunscreen. It’s soooo pretty, and I love everything from the finish (slightly matte—which is very important to me—and somewhat blurring) to the way it absorbs on my skin.

The only issue is that it leaves a very faint white cast on me. It’s not so horrible on my first application—barely noticeable, even—but when I go to reapply, it definitely turns me grayish-blue no matter how much I rub it in. I totally understand that mineral sunscreens tend to do that unless they’re tinted, but Tatcha only has one shade available. Sometimes, I will try to overcome the cast with Isamaya’s Color Correcting Skin Tint Serum, but then it completely changes the finish that I love so much of the sunscreen.

For reference, I wear somewhere between 5N and 4W of the original ELDW foundation. Does anyone have any recommendations as to sunscreens that are as similar to the Tatcha The Silk sunscreen as possible but either come in more shades or are chemical sunscreens?

Preferably not from Supergoop (I’ve tried numerous sunscreens from them and despised all of them), Naked Sundays, or Ultra Violette (only because I thought, and I may be mistaken, that there were controversies over their SPF claims). And preferably one I can find in-store in Sephora US or Ulta US so I can test it out?

If not, I will just move onto the Tatcha The Milky sunscreen, which doesn’t leave a white cast and is really nice, but I don’t like the finish as much. Usually, I will supplement it with Eadem’s new sunscreen stick (I forget the name) to mattify and reapply throughout the day, but, ahhh, I just love The Silk so much. Thank you in advance!

TL;DR – Does anyone have any dupes for the Tatcha The Silk sunscreen with deeper skin tones in mind? Prefer recommendations that can be found in Sephora or Ulta stores in the US.
