I’ve never really liked my name and it’s become extremely trendy over the last two decades. Now that I’m an adult it also feels incredibly childish and I feel ridiculous every time I introduce myself to someone. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a positive comment about my name on the internet. I’ve seen people associate it with words like “trendy,” “made up,” “modern,” “whiny,” “babyish,” “trailer park,” “southern teen mom,” and worse but I can’t list or else my post would be removed. Is it really that terrible? Would it be worth going through the trouble of changing my name and asking the people in my life to adapt to that?
