I have a Great-Aunt in her 80's and one of her dying wishes to taste a dessert my now late grandmother used to make, Applesauce pie.

Sadly after perusing the many cookbooks I inherited from my Grandmother. none of them have the recipe she used.

I've also tried reaching out to my Aunt (Grandmothers' daughter) to see if she had it but she hasn't gotten back to me with it; she does however remember that the recipe used tapioca as a thickener in the pie before baking.

Thus I've come here to see if anyone has a similar such recipe and are able to help a fellow baker out.

Thanks in advance.
