Had my hair split dyed, getting pretty bad ends breakage on the bleached side. Help

Hi ☺️ I’ve been going to the same hairdresser for nearly 7 years now and she’s absolutely amazing. Around 2 years ago we did halo (blonde underneath brown) which I absolutely loved, kept that for 2 years and then in March I had split dye done (still blonde and brown). I loved it so much and loved how I look with it.
I have stayed off the heat as much as possible since having it done because I knew getting one whole half bleached would be some work to keep healthy. I use a regular shampoo for washes, with a purple shampoo wash every 3-4 washes to maintain a light blonde. I use heat protectant, leave in conditioner and an anti-frizz serum when its damp (I’ve always had frizzy natural hair) and usually let it air dry, only using the hair dryer when I need it dry fast and I very rarely use my straighteners. I sleep with a braid in and a satin pillowcase.
I only noticed today because I used my straighteners, that the blonde side has some bad breakage on the ends which I’ve never experienced before. Even with the halo, my hair has always been healthy. From the back it looks fine/even, but facing forward it looks quite uneven. You can see in comparison, the 2nd and 3rd photos, that it’s quite severe in less than 2 months. I haven’t got a root touch up booked until July.
Is there something I’m doing wrong here? Does my routine need switching up? I’m open to any advice/help.
