2 PSUs dead, need help finding cause

Hi everyone,

Ive now had two separate PSUs brick themselves within a year, and I'm starting to think something in my setup is the culprit rather than just bad luck.

First time:

Corsair 1000RMX, PC was off. Went to turn it on, heard a loud click, and the entire circuit in this part of the house tripped. Switched on the breaker but PC is dead. Tested with an old spare PSU and it booted fine again, so the Corsair was gone. RMA'd it and bought a replacement. Figured i'd gotten a faulty unit.

Second time (six months later):

Be Quiet! Dark Power 14 1000W, PC was on. Tabbed back into Diablo 4, system froze and shut off. This time no circuit trip, but now on startup I get a small click and the RAM RGB lights up but nothing else. No CPU, no GPU, no fans. Tested with the same spare PSU as before, booted up fine.

Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D

GPU: AMD RX 9070 XT Red Devil

Motherboard: MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk Wi-Fi

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 6000MHz DDR5

First time i thought i was unlucky with that unit, but now? I'm not sure whats happening thats tripping these PSUs.

Could this be power spikes from the wall? Something wrong with the GPU, CPU, or motherboard? Compatability issues? Any help appreciated!
