How many of you watch horror with the goal of being scared?

I don’t get the mentality of people who say a horror movie is bad for not being scary enough. I’ve heard some people say (in person) that The Shining & Hereditary/Midsommar aren’t horror because they’re not scary enough. I’ve always thought of horror movies as something fun & entertaining. Whether or not it “scares” me is really beside the fact.
