Been thinking about this a lot lately and honestly not sure if were overthinking it or just underfunded. Running a DTC brand and our fulfillment costs keep eating into margins. Everyone talks about competing on speed but the logistics network to make that happen seems insanely expensive when youre bootstrapped or early stage.

Same day and next day delivery look great to customers but the operational complexity feels crazy. Are most people just absorbing the cost as a customer acquisition expense or is there actually a profitable way to compete here.

Curious what others are doing because it feels like the brands that have figured this out are either venture backed or have scale we havent hit yet. What am I missing..

We manage fulfillment for several mid-sized ecommerce brands, and lately it feels like last mile performance is all over the place. Late deliveries, poor tracking visibility, and customer complaints are creeping up. Kind of feels like whackamole…

We have diversified carriers, but that adds complexity and doesn’t fully solve the issue. Curious how other 3PLs are balancing cost vs. reliability right now?
