SLS store transfer

I’m curious how other leaders have handled going from one store/environment to a completely different one.

I spent about 2 years in a quieter store where I really loved the team and had a hand in building the culture. It felt aligned—people cared, standards were solid, and leadership felt natural.

Recently, I moved to a much busier, more urban location, and it’s been a completely different experience. Way higher volume, faster pace, and the culture is a lot more challenging—less consistency, more negativity, and overall just tougher to lead in.

It’s been an adjustment, to say the least.

For those who’ve been through something similar:

How did you navigate that kind of shift?

What actually worked when trying to lead in a tougher environment?

And what did it teach you or change about your leadership style?

I’m especially interested in how you balance holding standards without burning yourself out trying to “fix everything.”

Appreciate any insight.
