First off let me say I know the card might not seem like the best thing to some, and I know there is people still on the wait list believe you me I know I’ve read mostly everything that people post about the card negative and positive.
And I know some of you will roll your eyes oh no another credit card post. Sorry m8s ahead of time I just want to vent and if it’s removed so be it.
I like most of you joined the waitlist as soon as we could and have been with Wealthsimple for a long time investing what little I could put aside, now when the option to get the cc with the 2% back on everything in my only investing account I was incredibly excited I had it all planned out in my head keep spending normally and put that 2%
Into w/e the heck I wanted all planned out in my very tiny adhd brain not the point of the story though.
We all watched the requirements go for be premium and $2000 to $4000 direct deposits to now the bare minimum you need to “make” $6,667.00 / month
Put into $2000 / month would have been $12.50 / hour
$4000 / month would have been $25 / hour
Now being 80k being the minimum to even be eligible means $6,667.00 needs $41.67 / hour
Which sure I get it don’t want that many cards out there w/e
BUT I was valid for the first 2 of them while on the wait list barely but now now I’m not even close AND NOWS THE time I come off the wait list after it’s been raised to the point I cannot get it which really sucks for me I guess.
So what did I do apply anyways get declined anyways and now writing a post on Reddit about it.
While everyone’s life moves on as will mine it doesn’t mean I won’t be mad about it I will cry more thank you 🥲
