So for context, we visited France and rented a villa abroad for 10 (8 adults, a 20 month old and a 6 month old.

Unfortunately during the stay, we encountered a thunderstorm. Naturally, we showered the children and adjusted the thermostat to warmer temp for the children, so they would not catch illnesses.

The hostess has been particularly hostile (other issues which aren’t relevant to this post). So, just curious, if it was wrong to adjust the thermostat or should we have waited for permission beforehand?
