Confusing and frustrating NBN installation

I signed up with Tangerine and had my initial appointment two months ago.

The fiber needs to be pulled from a pit over 100 metres down the street from my house.

Tech said there was no conduit for the fiber to go from pit to pit underground and after exploring the possibility of doing aerial they thought it would have to go to the remediation team to proceed with the underground way (to add the conduit), which would take weeks.

They installed both devices afterwards and also the fiber between the devices.

Two days later, Tangerine updated their ticket advising NBN order was in 'PRD' (Planned Remediation Date) with a resolution date.

Approaching the date, Tangerine advised the works had been delayed and provided a new date.

Two weeks passing that date Tangerine updated again saying the order was now on hold, awaiting customer (me) input, reason being customer has declined the pathway method offered on site.

I could only assume that the pathway is the aerial method, which I don't prefer but I didn't decline. Anyway, I replied that I wish to proceed with the whatever method they can offer.

Today Tangerine advised the appointment has been cancelled...because of the same reason (me declining the method).

Is this some things that are not rare with a combination of NBA + not-the-best-customer-service ISP?

I would pretty much like the installation to go properly i.e. underground; however, I also understand that will cost a lot and wonder if NBN is willing to do such works just for one connection (apparently by far I'm the first one to demand the upgrade on the street).

Has anyone else come across this? What else can I do except keep telling Tangerine I want to proceed?
