Today I got my 1st tip to support my website 🥰🤍

Pata Hai Aaj Kya Hua!! Today I got my 1st tip from my website that I created for public use, it is totally free to use. So today someone tipped me ₹500, it can cover my 1 month server cost. Thanks to that person from my heart.

So, I created this website about 3 months ago. It is related to reddit. I initially thought it would be used by a few users. But as it's getting growth it reaches almost more than 1k unique visitors daily. It was daily touching my servers limit, getting exhausted. So I added the support me page to get little tips so I can increase the server limits.

But who knows, reddit will send me notice to take my site down 😂😂. So, a few days ago reddit sent me the trade mark infringement notice to take down my site. I was using "Reddit" in the branding "RedditGhost". So I had to take the site down and start using it with the new name "Ghostddit". It affected my visitors but it's okay. They will get to know I shifted the website.

Triggers firing 3 times for same event

Is there any problem in the devvit app in recent days??? Because my app FindCrosspost has been sending 3 duplicate comments and 3 duplicate modmails for every single event since yesterday. I have not changed/updated anything the app in the last few days. It never happened with my app. It started happening from yesterday.

The affected triggers are PostSubmit, CommentSubmit, and ModMail — all firing 3 times for the same event.

This is a utility app specially for users to use. In this devvit app you can find where yours or other users post is crossposted all over the reddit.

When the app(bot) is installed in the subreddit. You can comment r/FindCrosspost under the post or crosspost. Bot replies to your comment with the list of all crossposts that are crossposted in other subreddits.

If app(bot) isn't installed in the subreddit. You can just crosspost the post in r/FindCrosspost. There bot will reply to that crosspost with the list of all crossposts that are crossposted in other subreddits.

And also!! When the app(bot) is installed in the subreddit. And if anyone crossposts your post in that subreddit. You receive a mod mail from r/FindCrosspost with the list of all crossposts that are crossposted in other subreddits +including that subreddit.

On the mobile reddit app when users share:

  • Subreddits

  • Posts

  • Comments

They get a shared link like this https://www.reddit.com/r/subreddit/s/sharedID but this link doesn't work in devvit app directly. Developers have to use fetch to get the real link from that shared link.

I request the admins to add the shared link resolve function that directly tells the subreddit/post/comment id so devs can easily use the shared links support in the devvit app.
