



WARbike (Wildts Astro Racer)
Is a top fuel dragster bike built by Will Wildt in America during the 70-80’s (over 10 years development & build), powered by two Turbonique T-32 (2x3320hp) thrust rockets.
In 1967the NHRA had banned the use of Turbonique turbines for drag racing so the bike was never able to compete and remained a show piece for his Motorsport Unlimited TV show.
Horyn Coupe (Horyny)
Is a one-off custom car created by engineer Yaroslav Tsymbrovskyi in the Ukraine during the 80’s.
Built based upon a tubular steel chassis (Moskovitch 412?), fibreglass bodywork and powered by a 4-cylinder 1478cc (75hp) engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.
It is believed to have taken some design influence from the BMW 2000 Turbo.
MPV Tehran (Type)
Is a special one-off single-seat racing car created for the Crown Prince Rezza Pahlavi of Iran designed and built as a collaboration between Mercedes-Porsche-VW and presented to the Royal Court by Germany (Willy Brandt in 1972.
Powered by an (air-cooled?) rear-mounted 4-cylinder 1897cc (80hp) engine with a 4-speed manual transmission.
Now part of the 1200 vehicles in the National Car Museum (Iran)
MT Mini Dragster
This sling-shot style mini dragster was produced by drag racer Mickey Thompson in the late 60’s.
Built based upon a tube-frame with fibreglass bodywork and powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke (3hp) Tecumseh engine.
Just under 200 go-karts were produced
Eelco Wee Wee Eel Streamliner
Is a three-wheel (twinned rear wheels) Land Speed Record racing car produced by Els John, Willie Chambers & Steve Swaja in the early 60’s powered by a supercharged Austin A Series 4-cylinder 950cc engine.
The car would be developed through the years and in 1965 the four-wheel MKVI powered by a Coventry Climax 4-cylinder 1500cc engine that would achieve over 200mph.
Bertone Shake
Is a buggy-style recreational vehicle designed by Marcello Gandini and displayed at the Paris Motor Show in 1970.
Built based upon a tube-frame chassis, fibreglass bodywork with mechanical component from the Simca-Fiat 1200s powered by a rear-mounted 4-cylinder 1204cc (80hp) engine.
Only two prototypes were initially produced, but a third one was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in 1972 powered by rear-mounted Fiat (128) 4-cylinder 1290cc engine.
The Beilu BJ6490D, an unlicensed VN Holden Commodore based electric car, holds the record for the first public sale of an electric car in China. Pictured here is Yuan Jia Chen(right) and Wang Chuan Fu(left), the founder of BYD whom the car was sold to.
