How hard is for a company to become an MCS installer?

A friend of mine is an electrician. He's mostly doing small jobs he gets through Checkatrade. I've been telling him to get into solar. Wonder how hard is it for a one man company to become certified.

EcoFlow Stream Micro-inverter - unlock 1200W

So I have 2 of these micro-inverters, each connected to two 435W panels. The Streams are connected via an AC isolator to a dedicated house circuit going to a bi-directional RCD.

The two panels can produce 870W, potentially a little bit more under ideal conditions. But currently the micro-inverters are limited to 800W. I've heard that physically these are 1200W - how can I unlock them to the full 1200W, to avoid the small amount of clipping. No reason to loose energy.

I've heard that in Utah these are sold as 1200W, but in the current Android EcoFlow app there is no option to change the region to Utah. I'm in UK, I can change the region to Spain, Germany and a few others.

Upgrade small solar system in Manchester, UK

My wife and I recently bought a new house in Manchester from Bell Homes. It came with 6 solar panels and a 3kW non-hybrid inverter installed. They also provided G98 and MCS certificates. The thing is we both are not able to WFH, so on weekdays the output from the panels is mostly wasted. We have applied for an export tariff with Octopus and still waiting for that. Also ordered a Home Mini device.

My question is what can we do, on a very tight budget to improve the efficiency of this hardware. We spent ALL the savings we had on the house. The most we can afford to spend on solar at this time is 1000 quid - preferably less.

Solar is not something that I have experience with, so my ideas may be very stupid. I'm thinking of getting a Fogstar battery - 3 to 5kWh. Then sell the existing inverter and replace it with a hybrid one. I saw a Myenergi iibbi 3.68kWh hybrid inverter on sale for 360 quid. Do you think something like this will work? How hard is to connect a Fogstar battery to a Myenergi inverter?

Is there a better way to go about this? Maybe buy a used hybrid inverter and battery on eBay? Given the small budget I'd prefer to avoid hiring an electrician and do any work myself if possible. My father used to be an electrician, before passing away and have thought me the basics.
