So found out today that the coil and furnace don’t match what was put into the manual s. Do I have a leg to stand on since I bought the house new in 2021 in Summerville, SC. House does not keep up during the summer.
New build has a 3 ton unit. Unit is only 5 years old. The same houses built a year later all have a 3.5 ton unit. The company that installed mine says the manual j put it at 2.6. Have a guy use a lidar scan and it came up with 3.6. The 3 ton can’t keep up when it hits 90 degrees and we get above that all summer long. It’s a 2,500 sq ft house and I’m in SC near Charleston. He suggests a 4 ton multi speed unit. Will that work?
