I am in my mid 40s now and am really at a loss for how to style myself and look my best, especially since giving birth. I look at images of myself in my 30s and don’t recognize myself now, but I realize comparison is the thief of joy.
In these images all I have on is Iris & Romeo foundation. I am freckled with rosacea.
I would really appreciate advice on how to do my makeup in a way that doesn’t make me look like someone pretending they are younger. I want to look contemporary and healthy (being healthy is the best way to look healthy and I’m working on that).
As someone with very thin lips that also doesn’t want filler, I tend to go with just gloss. I feel like a clown with anything else.
Please feel free to suggest hairstyles as well. My hair is just awful now. It’s very fine and wavy. I have a windows peak so fringe is hard to make work. I am taking supplements and use minoxidil.
Thank you for any suggestions y’all may make. I have a very thick skin as well, so don’t worry about hurting my feelings.
Edit to add: please feel free to suggest make up colors or link me to examples. I feel so blind to my own face, which is a little crazy since I paint portraits.
