Hi Had moderate neuropathy but needed a surgery to straighten 4 th toe with a screw fusing two bones together. Before the surgery I was getting by with a toe brace and no meds . Driving was awful because of what I suspect is tendonitis on top of my foot. Now post surgery the neuropathy ramped up to a steady 7 on the pain scale so I started on gabapentin which helps take the edge off. After my toe heals I’m not sure what to do next. Should I see the same podiatrist for tendonitis or a neurologist? . (I don’t know what they do exactly but seems risky. I’ve heard neurologists permanent sever nerves or something like that. Does neuropathy sometimes just feel like tendinitis? . How would I know the difference .
