Invisible mouse pointer

Ok I'm genuinely this close to demand a refund. I want to play Neverwinter Nights EE so badly, but no matter what I do, no matter how freaking hard I try, I cannot play in anything but borderless or exclusive mode. Problem is, those modes are completely impossible to play because for some dumb reason, the game doesn't freaking show the mouse pointer at ALL unless it's in windowed mode.

I've tried everything I could think of AND things that I've seen online that were supposed to fix the issue. I tried activating hardware mouse, didn't work. Tried deactivating it afterwards, obviously didn't work either. I tried running with compatibility, I've tried checking and unchecking the high dpi stuff...

Oh, even more annoying: if I activate fullscreen while deactivating hardware mouse, the pointer DOES show up... but appears more to the left of where it's supposed to go, so the UI is completely misaligned.

I don't know what to do...

Without getting into too much details - if I do, that post will be unbearably long - I was wondering something. I'm working on my flexibility and mobility to get back my high kicks of youth (I'm 40, stopped training at around 20 and I've been training again for a few months). I wanted to know if my approach to training was the right one?

So basically, what I'm doing right now is assessing the pain/discomfort when trying to do certain kicks (roundhouse, hook and side mostly), and trying to determine the weakness. I've seen a physical therapist once who helped me on certain issues, but having an appointment is pretty difficult right now. So, most of what I do is mostly testing and research, and I feel like I'm being too... technical about it. I'm simply wondering if I should stop trying to determine exactly what's my weakness, and just train flexibility and mobility normally, and only getting a bit more in depth with stretches and other mobility stuff that I find a bit more difficult.

What are your thoughts? Should I keep analyzing and correcting the weaknesses, or just train normally and everything will eventually pick up?
