Is the idea of playing on boards with arbitrary shapes not very appealing?
I thought there would be many others like me who needed it, but does it seem like there isn’t much demand?

I had long wanted a Go version of Lichess’s guest matching, so I decided to create one myself. The key feature is that you can find an opponent instantly without signing up. Like Lichess, you can create a table and share the URL to easily play with friends.
You can also customize the board, allowing for unconventional setups.
Give it a try.
At the moment, there is no waiting list of available matches or automatic matchmaking feature.

Notes:
Regardless of the rule set you select, games are initially played using stone scoring.
After both players pass and the game ends, you can request to recalculate the result under either Japanese or Chinese rules.
Dead stones are not determined automatically; instead, they are marked manually, similar to KGS.
