I really like the DJI ecosystem and have been using it to record press conferences every week for my media outlet which covers a professional soccer team.

Usually I set up with the Osmo Pocket 3 on a tripod and have my wireless mic on the table where the coach or player will sit during the interview.

The videos I’ve gotten so far have been serviceable and no real complaints have been made but it always bothers me how the person being interviewed sounds crystal clear because the mic is close to them but the questions being asked are always super faint and I always have to go in afterward and fix the audio in the edit.

To combat this I purchased a second wireless mic that comes with a receiver (which I’ve never used before). My plan is to put the second mic either in the same place on the table but facing the journalists in the room or hold the mic myself since I’ll be amongst the journalists and thus closer in proximity to those asking questions.

In my arsenal I have:
- Osmo Pocket 3
- Everything that comes in the Creator kit
- DJI Mic 2 x2
- Receiver (came with second Mic)
- Tripod
- Magnetic lens attachment to help zoom
- IPhone

Any advice would be appreciated! I understand this setup isn’t 100% ideal for this situation but being a journalist/content creator I greatly value the mobility and the versatility of these products. I’m just wondering if there’s a way to make the most of the tools I have.
