1 hour commute with 4 month old.
Hello, I own my own business and I can’t decide if I’m trying to take on too much. I have somebody else managing it rn, taking a huge chunk of my revenue so I can have maternity leave. Housing is so awful right now I can’t find anywhere that is reasonable and will accommodate having two dogs besides where I live right now.
I don’t live near any friends or family nor do I have any family that can help me. I also do not feel comfortable putting my baby in daycare right now.
What I’m attempting to do is drive an hour commute and set up a nursery for my baby in my office. My day-to-day work consists of some computer work and packaging products to send to customers local and with shipping. Most likely I can get FedEx to come pick up from my office and a couple times a week drive within an additional hour to drop off to other local businesses.
The pros I have going for me is I can make my own schedule. I don’t need to work five days a week. I can probably get it done in 3 or 4. I will leave baby with husband 1 day. I can plan the commute around her nap schedule.
Do you think this sounds doable?
