I need advice about whether my boyfriend was disrespectful or not
It seems like such a small issue but I’m so upset and frankly fcking pissed. Today was Mother’s Day and I brought my boyfriend’s mom flowers and a card. At the end of the gathering, they served cake. My boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend and I were leaving because we had somewhere to be. I asked my boyfriend “can you please save me this cake? I really like it.” I handed it to him in the To Go container all ready to go. I reiterated “please don’t forget and save it for me.” He agreed. I get home and ask for the cake, he says “oh sorry, I didn’t bring it?” I said “why? I asked you multiple times to please bring it.” He said “my brother wanted it so I gave it to him”. We’ve had issues with his brother talking to me disrespectfully and him never standing up for me. I know for a fact his brother heard me say to please save it. I also know he saved it to bring home to his own girlfriend. I’m so hurt and all he said was “We had such a good day and you have to let this one thing ruin it”.
