I posted a similar question a few months back (asking for recommendations for my first super-shoes). It came mostly down to these two favourites. I've since improved my times and looking for further advice. I am currently running 30-40miles per week and have improved massively since running consistently since September.
5K pb - 19:40 (on a hilly parkrun)
10K pb - 39:59 (again, on a hilly course but chuffed with this yesterday)
HM pb - 1hr 35 (randomly went for this in January and beat my previous pb by 5mins)
I am on track to achieve sub 1hr30 in the HM this coming September.
Current shoe rotation:
Race shoe / Speed session - Adidas EVO SL
Long runs / Recovery - ASICS Novablast 5
Base runs / everything else - Puma Velocity Nitro 4
I'm slightly leaning towards the AP4 purely just because I love the EVO SL.. but please give me your opinions! :)
Bonus question - When would you suggest buying the shoes (HM race is Sept 13th) and how many runs should I do in them? What kind of runs?
