I had what I think was a cold sore (HSV-1) on the corner of my upper lip. It scabbed over and, yeah, I messed up and picked at it a bit while it was healing.

Eventually I stopped touching it and the scab fully came off on its own. Now the skin is smooth and healed, but it left behind a really noticeable white patch in that spot.

I’m Black, so the contrast is pretty obvious and it looks kind of weird, especially since it’s right on the edge of my lip. It’s not raised or painful at all, just lighter than the rest of my lip. It’s been like this for a few days now.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Did the color come back over time or is there something I should be using to help it repigment?
