5% VLT Tint
Pioneer PDP-433CMX PRO Monitor
Megaman X5 (PS1 via PS3)
The 20% VLT was great, but when I tried 5% VLT..man.. this is it! performs really well with lights around, more contrast and depth to the colors and picture. Contrast and Ratio is set to default 0, I can pump it up more if I want more pop.
This Pioneer PRO from 2002 black levels is just mediocre, with the 5% VLT tint, maybe it has around Panasonic ZT16 black levels 😆 I kid. I may apply the same tint to my UT50 and maybe it will look like 80% VT50 😬
Sorry, I lied with the " went all in" because there is also 2.5% VLT but I think that will be for another experiment and call it "blind as bat tint post".
Shout out to 🐻Suitable Garlic for pushing for more tint LOL
Thermal Image of ZT60 (shared by @RW, discord). Those are with OEM active cooling fans. It was never enough folks.
In my case for my fanless from factory 60" GT50, I have two exhaust and one intake with dust shield. The more the better.
u/RemStudio style would be peak cooling 😁 Do that for maximum heat removal.
🌀u/Dreamroom64 inspired of course.

One of the few 60 fps games. Very smooth on Plasma.
The Pioneer pro monitor's blacks aren't great but the motion at 60 fps is beautiful. This plasma feels really responsive with inputs. I hope to measure its input lag someday.
It's 42" with a native resolution of 1024 x 768. It "supports" upto 1080p signal but I set PS3 to 720p for this God of War 3.
Not the best in blacks but colors pop. Blacks look like early LCD blacks 😂 It's at least smooth in motion for gaming.
Installed one on my PC, and I currently have mine cooled with a little fan blowing on its heat sink.
Would love to know if there are less hot recommendations. (Other than just using the built in Gigabit Ethernet port). I want to use the speed I paid for.
Thanks in advance.
I was under this belief that it was impossible, and "amazed" at the same time how the main plasma panel did not get damaged in the removal process, considering, when reading marketing materials, it sounded like it was "baked and bonded" to achieve a zero gap to eliminate reflection.
🛒Facebook Listing Source. Owner of this ZT60, I know your in discord. This could make for a good pseudo tinted glass and restore some blacks.
I would slap like, a thin optically clear plexiglass, cut to size and apply some tint u/Dreamroom64 👉 style 😎 as a project. Dont have to be bonded, just have some form of back to back tape to keep it in place. Heat will dissipate no matter what. Earlier plasmas even have separate glass and space between the actual panel. Maybe instead of panel and tinted plexiglass in direct contact, add some gap for heat convection and escape to occur, there will be some kind of space (dont fully use back to back tape on the bezel, maybe some tiny gaps in between for hot air to leave vent out)
Can go much darker tint since ZT60 panels are driven much harder and are brighter compared to lower tiers. I bet the ZT60 is the brightest plasma with those aggressive filters stripped! I read somewhere it uses more wattage to drive the panel even in comparison with a VT60.
Recorded in 4K.
Bison's dark aura is perfectly portrayed in this video demo, with plasma as a display... 🔥🔥🔥
Just beautiful picture.

Input lag rated at: 31.68 ms (1.9 Frames).
Deep blacks and that signature plasma color. Fire and particle effects look sooo good on plasma. 2D images just have that 3D depth to it.
🟩Recorded input lag at 32.89 ms Time Sleuth, minus 8.33, clocks in at 24.56 ms equivalent to 1.474 frames of lag. 🟩Common consensus from best to worst on input lag is S60 > GT?/VT/ZT60 (in any order) > ST60 (Dreamroom64 @ 67.73 ms = 4.1 frames of lag. 🟩Facebook time sleuth sources shows ZT and VT60 input lag are about the same so educated guesstimate is GT60 is about in those range around 45 ms (time sleuth raw).
All sample images are from the S60 and I've included an all black screen showing the slight sustain glow as I see it. Most panasonic will have this glow, including the ZT60, believe me I have it. Pioneer 101FD is that one plasma I have that can really do inky blacks but will still have a very slight hint of glow in it and it beats the ZT60. I still prefer my ZT60 over 101FD by the way.✌️
In the pics for AR filter comparison are VT50 (Corner to corner Chrome Accents) and ST30. VT50 and ST30 have Louvre filters that are excellent in managing ambient light particularly the ones coming from above. It helps a lot in not making the image wash out. S60 does come with a filter but it's more of a tint rather than Louvre, on my watchlist is S64 that was said to have the more superior ST60 filter. Only UT50 is what I know and have that naked Plasma Panel.
It is false to claim that S60 has no filter or tint👉 [it does!](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlasmaTV\_Gaming/comments/1ke3n08/panasonic\_ut50\_left\_vs\_s60\_right/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=mweb3x&utm\_name=mweb3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button). I see this repeatedly commented here. It does improve perceived black detail with some light around, and not as washout as UT50 in comparison.
Quirks: It's lightweight, not that slim but definitely thinner than older plasma like Pioneer 111FD for example.
