This has been posted on the Ram Forum as well...

As the title states, I have a '99 Ram 2500 with an Edge with Attitude CTS3 tuner. I bought the truck 4 years ago, and up until eight months or so ago, the boost on the CTS3 display was working, then it stopped.
I thought it was just the display. Around that time, I started having issues with the transmission. I assumed, the lack in power I was feeling was transmission replated.

Two weeks ago, I relaced the transmission, with a performance one (with billet converter) and the truck now drives great. IN fact, when the shop was done with the transmission, he told me the truck has no power.
And it doesn't. Unless you move it to a higher tune setting. The higher you go, the more power it has.
My thought on this is, I am increasing the timing and fueling, so this is what is helping.

Again, NO BOOST on the display, but I can hear the turbo spooling.

The following has been done on the truck-in regards to the no boost issue...
-new industrial VP44 pump
-FASS fuel system-new filters last week
-New MAP sensor
-new air filter
-NO boost leaks
-APP sensor replaced and adjusted correctly-no fluctuations.
-programmer updated

So, fast forward to a few days ago. I am driving with my wife and I noticed the EGT temp on the display froze. So I unplugged the HDMI cable (Edge cable) off the back of the display, and plugged it back in.
It rebooted, and the boost display is now working. Weird though, at idle it is reading 3-4 psi of boost, and the truck feels amazing to drive.

Even in mode 0 it feels like a normal turbo diesel truck. In mode 3, it feels noticeably different. Where before, when no boost is showing, it would barely pull a hill.

I did check the wastegate yesterday, and it moves freely and returns to position. I assume, the wastegate on these trucks is normally closed and opens to limit the amount of boost?

Also-I pulled the ALDL connector off the Edge the other day and noticed corrosion on the cable side. I thought for sure this was the problem. I cleaned the cable and the truck side of the ALDL with DeOxiti cleaner and reassembled-with no change.

Today, as I was pulling in to work...the boost starting working again. Sadly, when going to lunch today, no boost.

I have tried running with the programmer unplugged, but it only runs as good as the last mode it was in. Is this normal, I don't know.

I am at a loss right now.
