I have AT tomorrow! My state medical detachment told me I’m not cleared for AT due to certain things in my last PHA, I have that in an email and the RNCO is on it too but I have orders and I’m also on the roster.

What should I do?? I mean I don’t mind showing up for the first couple of days (non-field days) but I know I won’t be able to go to the field after that so will they just excuse me in the middle of it like after a couple of days? Ideally my orders should’ve been revoked but they didn’t and I don’t want to be marked AWOL despite a medical condition.

Like this makes no sense - does my medical detachment have any say? “Why did they say I’m not cleared for AT” in writing while I also have orders.

I’m in a weird situation like I have 15 months left in my contract to ETS and to get VA home loan but I have a medical condition (not injury) that doesn’t allow me to go to the field or be in a situation with lack of hygiene. I was told that if I request a profile to not go to the field or can’t wear gear like normal then I’ll be kicked out through medboard almost immediately (6 months or less) which I know makes sense (I’m in the Army) asking for daily hygiene and not going to the field is unacceptable.

My question is:

I didn’t have this condition at entry/MEPS and it certainly got and continues to get worse due to the military and military tasks (wearing gear, going to the field, no shower for days) etc. My doctor also agrees service aggravated it.

Is there anyway I can fight for this to get service aggravated as M-Day (because it truly is based on my symptoms and civilian doctor) or connected (whatever verbiage they use) either one of these without having Active duty experience or LOD (since it’s a medical condition and not an injury for NG) as part of the discharge status so that I at least get VA home loan. I thought I’ll be able to finish those last 15 months by requesting a temp profile but the way they told me the process will end way before that.

Also I currently have no profile for this and have never had a profile neither temporary or permanent in the past but this condition exists in the ePHA/PHA surveys and stuff.

I know I’m going to get 0 future benefits and I’m fine with that in general, the only thing that’ll suck is being so close to unlocking VA home loan but not getting that either. Not looking for VA disability compensation it’s more about home loan.

The process hasn’t started - I have only had one conversation with the medical readiness so far. I’ll appreciate any guidance?
