Sensitive 2 year old
My 27 month old is very sweet giggly silly and confident at our home and with our family. We struggle with outings, play dates and other activities and I’m not sure if it’s something I need to be worried about. I tried taking her to little gym when she was 14 months - she cried the whole time. I try story times and she’s hit or miss crying. I tried swim lessons - she cried. I try play dates with my mom friends kids and she doesn’t engage and just wants me or to eat. She cried in the elevator going to the dentist. She basically is upset and seemingly anxious at activities I try to do for fun for her. She loves rolling around in the basement so I wanna book gymnastics but don’t want her to just cry and not engage. Anyone have a kid similar ? Any advice? Anyone have a kid like this that grew out of it? I’m trying to not make her world small but she seems to want that. Help!
