Hey All,

New to this channel/reddit! I'm excited to be picking up my new Golf R next week from the dealership.

I haven't owned a new car before and wanted to see if anyone knows what the break-in requirements are for the engine.

I had a mate of mine who's a mechanic and he told me I need to drive around 1500km-2000km and then do an oil change, but when I spoke to the sales guy at VW he said only needs a service at 15000km or 12 months.
