It's basically a fantasy world (inspired by stuff like Frieren and DnD) that takes place in the new Midgard, after the flooding Surt caused dissipates. It takes place in a new supercontinent where humans, elves, and dwarves live, each having their kingdoms. And at the south Surt's body became a volcanic continent of evil beings like dragons, fire demons, orcs, etc. the dragon that poisoned Yggdrasil leads them, Nidhogg.
Meanwhile the remaining gods live on top of the regrown Yggdrasil, led by a resurrected Baldur, the new Allfather.
That Midgard is more magical, probably from the new Yggdrasil and also from Surt's body, both leaking magic into the world.
