Asthma inhalers have ruined my mouth.

Hello, don’t really know how to put this so I’ll just start from beginning.

For the last year or two my teeth have been breaking, splitting, cracking and I’ve always thought it was me, my diet, the foods I eat.. The thing is, I don’t drink, I don’t do hard drugs, I don’t drink fizzy or sugary drinks.. I do eat fast food though, I might have a McDonald’s maybe once or twice a month, maybe a kebab, it’s never a constant thing though, my diet mainly consists of fruit & veg and I’ll have some chicken and fish in there aswell because I have other health problems (bowel problems)..

I had to see a dentist the other day to have a tooth extraction, I’ve been waiting 7-8 months to see a dentist and in the end I ended up calling every single dentist in my area and only one would see for an emergency admission of £135, wasn’t bothered, when I got there, I could immediately sense something was wrong by the look on the dentists face like he was trying to find a way to tell me something, I said “just be straight up honest with me, if it’s bad, it’s bad”…

He asked if I take steroid inhalers for my asthma and I said yes, he said my mouth is basically text book for the damage caused by steroid inhalers, the steroid inhaler I have is called ‘symbicort’, he then goes on to say, “every single tooth has extreme decay to the point they will need to be removed apart from one tooth, I can do root canals on your molars but eventually, all your teeth will just erode and fall out because of the chemicals inside the inhalers”…

I was speechless, no doctor has ever told me about the harmful chemicals inside inhalers, this dentist was the first person in over 20 years to inform me on the chemicals.

I’m still processing I’m going to lose my whole mouth, I don’t know what to do, I’m just riddled with decay and disease, all from inhalers.
