Rate my Tower Burger (Inc Doner Meat)
This was my Saturday treat night takeaway. My diet is screwed, but it was so damn yummy 😋
This tower burger is pretty big!
It's made up of:
* Bread sesame bun
* Beef burger
* Doner meat
* Crispy chicken breast burger
* Cheese
* Salad (minimal, needed more lol)
Served with chips.
Tubs of sauce were an optional extra (chilli, mint/yoghurt & garlic mayo)
Burger & Chips - £6.00
Sauces tubs - 50p each
Mix Grill and Lamb Ribs - Kervan Southgate, North London
Was delicious! Their chilli sauce I could drink!
Chik-Mex, Basingstoke
Played in Basingstoke on Friday night. After getting all the gear loaded at half one, thought I'd pop in here for the traditional post-gig kebab.
Here we have my usual, lamb doner wrap, chili sauce, no salad. Meat was served from the Bain marie. Chili sauce was homemade and decent. Could have done with a bit more, to be fair.
This gets a B grade overall. Would go back here again, mainly for the convenience. Weighing in at 474g and at a reasonable £7.50, this lands at 24/84 on the spreadsheet. Well ahead of Mr Kebab and Tadley Kebabs but a long way behind Smiley's which remains the highest rated in Basingstoke, for value and quality.
What in the fucking fuck of arbominations do you call Döner over here?
Get your shit together, visit r/doener to gain some insight and show those pictures to your donerdaddy.
You need this to stop.
You are getting scammed.
Is this that vegan meat everyone is talking about?
Donna and Chicken
Ngl this was mental (that's a 330ml bud too before you spzs get a hard on)
British tourist swindled out of nearly £1,500 buying a kebab in Rio | The Independent
Be careful in Rio.
Lidl gyros
Doner adjacent - has anyone tried these?
Swedish pizza
Would’ve been nice with a cold beer but the place wasn’t licensed.
Doner in the Kingdom of Fife
I hanker for some local kebab, I go to Dundee for Aga Khan (Amaazing), or down to Edinburgh for Neighbourwood (also incredible) but anybody know of anything good in the general Fife area, or am I as vang out of luck as I suspect?
Everything I've found ranges from bang average to absolutely terrible, if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears (and mouth)...
Doner Delight - Langley
I had to go to Langley, Berkshire, the other night. Thought I'd take the opportunity to try this place. I used to work in Langley many, many years ago, and thankfully, changed jobs and this was my first return to the place in well over 20 years.
Here we have my usual, lamb doner wrap, chili sauce, no salad. This also came with a small portion of chips, half of which I ate on the drive home.
Meat was freshly cut, with a knife, not a shaver. Chili sauce was home made, not too spicy, hint of lemon and very pleasant overall. The wrapping itself was a bit loose and came apart easily but I didn't mind as this was very, very tasty. I'd actually give this a grade A overall. My daughter got a doner kebab and it was served in what looked like a home made bread that was like a big puffed out pitta but was light and fluffy inside. Never seen that before. I tried some and it was very nice indeed.
Weighing in at 509g for £8, this has landed at 23/83 on the spreadsheet. However, if we were to add the weight of the free chips, that puts the whole meal at number 1 for value! 🥇
I would definitely go back here again. Just need to find some place nearby that does live music.
Dönerdog gave his approval too. 🐾
Esher Best Kebab pt 2
Once again, easily the best kebab shop in Surrey, and I'd say the south of England
Chicken shish wrap, and my dad is housing a doner wrap in the background
It's a simple menu on offer, but done exceptionally
