Hello there everyone. I’ll fly soon to Japan from Amsterdam.
Me and my girlfriend bought the tickets together.
While doing the check-in, we got put in different seats, so we had to pay 50€ per ticket to sit next to each other.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens on the way back, too.

Genuine question: is this normal? I got 10+ flights with more than a ticket bought together and I always got assigned seats next to each other without paying extra.

Was I just lucky? Genuine question. Thanks!

Hello there, next week I’ll be for 3 weeks in Japan.

There’s a lot of choice out there, so I am asking tips to the experts on Reddit :) I am not sure what brands are actually good, or just a marketing thing.

I am Looking for a slick backpack that I can use also for a light hike. Spacious but not huge - eg I can take it on a plane as a bag.

Budget up to 200€.
