Hi everyone!
I'm currently a Cybersecurity Consultant at a Big 4 firm, where I mostly do compliance and a lot of RFPs. I previously interned at a major tech company as a Software Engineer Intern for 12 months, and I hold an MSc in Cybersecurity.
Later this year, I will be joining an internal team to do hands-on cloud engineering (IaC, k8s, CI/CD) for 6 months while progressing to Senior Consultant, in order to refine my technical skills.
Provided I make the Senior Consultant title and finish this cloud "rotation", how realistic would a pivot to a mid-level SE at a Tier-1 cyber vendor (e.g., Palo Alto or CrowdStrike) be?
If it's unrealistic, what other possible pathways do I have, and why are these more realistic?
Thanks!
