I booked a block of lessons and my driving test on the 18th for £280 with a driving school but before my lesson today they suddenly want me to pay £100 for insurance fee which is refundable apparently but as far as i know the £280 i paid should cover that no?

sorry if this isn’t posted in the right place but as the title said I’m trying to swap my driving test which is on 18th may at 7:13 am in Stevenage as my instructor can’t make it to the test date, so I was wondering if anyone had a test date further away preferably in Letchworth, Stevenage or Bedford?
