My husband and I are thinking of taking a very long trip abroad to see if we should relocate. It could be up to a year - if things work out, we'd fly back, ship our stuff, and sell our car. If things didn't work out at any time - which, given we are both disabled, is possible - then we'd like to come back here without having just sold every physical convenience of life preferably.

So, my initial goal was to find a place to store our Sienna. But I've heard that long term storage can mess up the hybrid battery. So I called our dealer. The service tech said two things that were not really consistent: "if you store it for a year, your hybrid battery should be fine" but also "yeah it could cause your hybrid battery to have problems or a shorter lifespan down the line."

Anyone have any suggestions here?

Thanks!

I'm a dual citizen hoping to move back to Spain soon and maybe purchase a home. At first I was excited about how low the interest rates are compared to the USA, but then I realized that, with me at 51 years old and my husband at 62, we'll have to get a shorter duration mortgage. It seems that there are laws around the maximum age you can be to still be in repayment.

Does anyone have recommendations about the bank that has the most generous policy for this? Some go by the oldest person in a couple, some by the youngest...some numbers say up to 75, others say older. It's confusing.

Thanks!
