Anyone here work or has worked in SNF? How was the pay? I understand the schedule is very flexible.
reddit.comJob Offer
TLDR: KY Psych NP with 6 years experience and 4 years as a psych RN asking about job offer.
New job has offered me a position, but it will mostly be in office 5 days a week, 8-5pm. They said it would be remote, but the remote part as I understand it is seeing people remotely from the office when they are at home. Plus, I would be asked to drive to other buildings if there is a need there.
The "remote" part is frustrating, because the providers they have now are fully remote. This is a new position they created because they are trying to phase out the remote part and get providers in house more. So, there's no difference in compensation for this in house position compared to the current fully remote ones.
There is also the chance of being on call for their crisis unit. They haven't said it would be substantial, maybe a day on the weekends, but also haven't said what it might be specifically. Still developing, I'm told.
The pay is 120k a year. I can make that or more in private practice remote 4 or 5 days a week at other places.
They have the pension fund, but that doesn't kick in until 55 for the least oubt, 65 for the max. Plus, pension takes 6% of each paycheck to pay into it.
I'm on the fence about it, and am leaning towards looking at other places. I would much prefer remote 4 days a week, even if out of state.
