I'm currently being treated for Achilles tendinopathy with associated Haglund's deformity. My physio wants me to move to a shoe with a higher drop (ideally 8-10mm) and a well-cushioned heel.

I have been mostly been running in the Adidas Boston 13, which I love but has a hard heel cup that is irritating my Haglund's. I also have a pair of Altra Vanish Tempo which I dug out of the back of the closet as the heel cup is soft, but the zero drop isn't ideal in my current situation.

So here's my need: daily trainer with high drop, cushioned heel, not a brick but not too soft either. Something a bit more dynamic than a Brooks Ghost or similar really. Any suggestions?
