Hi! I am a junior in high school, and I've been thinking a whole lot about where I want to apply to college next school year but there is one big problem I'm facing right now. So I took Spanish 1 freshman year and I was so bad at it. Somehow ended that class with a B but it was so horrible, the teacher was just an easy grader I guess. Sophomore year I took an online ASL 1 class and it was alright. This year I'm taking ASL 2 and mathematically I don't think it's possible for me to pass this class. This is the first class I've ever failed and I'm absolutely freaked out that not getting a second year of language will stop me from getting into college.

I live in MA and I want to apply to pretty much all state schools. Other than this stupid failing grade in ASL I'm a solid A/B honors and AP student but foreign languages just don't make sense to me. I couldddd take Spanish 2 next year but if I can still get into college without it that would be ideal. So please, for MA state schools specifically, is it a hard requirement or is it more of a suggestion? Thank you all in advance!!
