I'm making a chibi Pikachu amigurumi for a friend's son and I'm having trouble with the stripes on his back. There are no pictures of the finished product from the back on the pattern so I'm not sure exactly what the intention is but it's lining up weird. Are they not lining up/centered because I've made a mistake or is it the pattern? The pattern says to switch to joined rounds instead of spirals for the body portion and I did that. I redid the rounds being very careful with the count and it's still off.
