Should I put a skin on my Scar 16?

Hi guys! I just received and unboxed a brand new Scar 16 2025. I wonder if I should put a skin on it or not to prevent scratches.

What are your suggestions? Could a skin ruin the finishing on the lid or stick to plastic of the area around the keyboard and therefore leave the laptop in a bad shape if removed?

Galaxy Buds 4 Pro on an S10+ running an Android version prior to Android 12, AMA!

Hi guys! My daily driver is my March 2019 S10+. It is currently running One UI 2.1 and Android 10 since locked updates on purpose. I come from the OG 2019 Galaxy Buds.

As you know the Buds Manager app requires Android 12 for the Buds 4 Pro however the Buds will work om Android 10.

Here are my 2 cents so far: the audio quality improvement and mic quality during calls is massive.

As for being operational you'll need a device running Android 12 to set the up.

The only thing I have noticed is that touch settings default to their stock only when connected to my S10+ with Android 10 (so the hold to cycle ambient sound etc... can't turn it off as by default it is not an option and you need to configure that inside the app). Switching to my Android 12 tablet immediately has the Buds working as I set them up.

As for the codec don't worry! It won't use Samsung Seamless Codec as it requires Android 12 however it will default to Samsung Scalable Codec (the same of the OG Buds) rather than AAC or SBC!

If you have any questions just ask!

Getting the G16 2025 instead of waiting for the G16 2026. Is it a good move?

Hi guys, I have this "problem". I have around 2400 euros of credit which I have to spend before the 31st of August 2026 and I do not want an OLED panel.

The G16 2025 Strix Scar is now on discount for 2599 euros (700 euros less than MSRP) and there are exactly 5 units left in Northern Italy and than that is it.

I am aware that last month ASUS teased the 2026 lineup so my question is: is it dumb to get the 2025 model now before the stock runs out?

Here is what I though: RAM prices are a disaster and prices will increase for new units. I am getting a 275HX + 5070Ti for 2599. The 290HX although faster is only a minor revision and as for the 5070Ti I hardly see Nvidia come out with a 16 GB model before August which will be readily if ever available in laptops. I could wait for the 2026 lineup to come out however I pondered that the 2025 model is a Scar and the 2026 model is improved but should be similar if not same chassis/cooling capability of the 2025 Scar. Furthermore the MSRP for the 2025 Scar was 3299 euros. I wonder what the pricepoint will be for the 2026 Strix model.

I mean I only want to spend 2600 euros at most and I don't think that the 2026 devices will have a 5070Ti at 2600 euros, maybe at most a 5070 and maybe not even hit that street price for a 5070 before August the 31st.

Should I pull the trigger or I am doing the opposite of what I should?
