I've been applying for QA Engineer and manual test technician roles for about six months now. I've been sending out about 20 applications a week, but I feel like I'm going in circles and the entries aren't sticking. I'm not a writer by trade, so my grammar is decent, but I don't have the magic industry buzzwords that seem to be required for the tech sector today. I was thinking that maybe hiring a pro to polish the document and optimize it for ATS might be spending my own cash on, but worth it if it means paying more attention to the details in an interview.
