RoP, Rep maxes, and starting weights

A couple months ago, I completed the ABF at 20kg (dual bells, great program, definitely did what it was supposed to). I was definitely between sizes and hit the press target easily and early. I recently resumed my hybrid RoP/S&S program, and just completed the RoP press ladders 5x(1-2-3-4-5) with 45# (close enough to 20kg for me).

So I tested myself with 24K and easily hit 10 each side. I could have probably ground out 11 or 12, but the 10th reps I started to feel, yet still had decent speed.

So now the question... Do I start the RoP ladders at 24, or is it worth buying a 28? The rep max calculators all seem to suggest my 5RM may be a bit above or below 28K. I don't have a 28 handy, and while I could go to the gym to try to re-test, I'm just as ready to cancel my membership for awhile, and hope I can get some quick advice from here.
