Finally got finger prosthetics that look and feel right.

I’ve been using finger prosthetics for six years now, but I’ve always been hesitant to show them to anyone. Honestly, it’s taken me this long to feel comfortable enough to share.

I recently got a new set here in London, and the difference is huge. Compared to my previous ones—which were way too shiny and kept falling off—these fit my hand perfectly. The color matching and texture are so realistic that they actually help me with my daily routine without me feeling self-conscious.

Sharing these photos with my friends (and here) feels like a massive step forward for my mental health. It’s not just about the tech; it’s about finally accepting this part of me. I have never share any of these to my fd in 6 years at all... such a big step

Just wanted to share this little 'normal' moment !

Is anyone else experiencing a problem after uploads prosthetic image?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some technical insights. Recently, one of my image uploads (a photo of a prosthetic fingers) likely triggered a false positive in the safety filter. Since then, I’ve noticed a very specific pattern:

  1. **The "Text AI" Loop:** In any chat thread that contains **ANY** historical image uploads (even unrelated ones like my cats or plants), Gemini now refuses to answer and says: *"I am a text-based AI and cannot help with that."*

  2. **Text-Only Chats are Fine:** New or existing threads with **ZERO** image history work perfectly fine.

  3. **Branching Doesn't Work:** Branching from the affected threads carries over the "lock."

  4. **Context:** I’m a long-time user with lots of personal history (travel, pets, design) stored in these threads, so "just start a new chat" is a painful workaround.

**My questions:**

* Has anyone experienced this (collective punishment) where any thread with an image is flagged/broken?

* Does this "Shadowban" on multimodal features usually expire after 24-48 hours?

* Is there a way to "scrub" the safety flag without deleting the entire conversation history?

Thanks in advance for any insights!
