Encountered on a long walk today. Not a soul for miles around. Middle of a field, I encounter this trap with three compartments, two of which contained a crow.

The crows were in real distress, of course. Bright sun and heat, flapping about like crazy.

Never seen something like this before. The box was clearly a kind of trap because it had spring loaded doors on top. On the other hand, you had to press on the doors quite hard to open them so I don’t see how the crows could have been “trapped”, someone had to have put them in there. And then left this cage in the middle of nowhere.

I was moved so I decided to let them out, unfortunately it wasn’t possible without somewhat destroying the box, but there we are.

Have I done wrong?
