We recently got our hours cut due to the season and we only have 3 servers scheduled most days aside from the weekend. They’ve been putting me on the morning shift from 10:30 to 4:30 largely alone until the food runner comes in round’ 12:30.
Tbh, I’ve made the most I’ve ever had with these shifts. Especially since I don’t have to pay out barback or busser since none are scheduled in the morning. I made the mistake(?) of mentioning to a coworker how well I did today financially, and they later mentioned how nights have been so slow and terrible for them recently. I’m stuck at a crossroads in terms of talking about it in future conversation with any other servers. would it be better to keep it to myself how well my shifts are doing?
